Reds California 2006 Blackstone Sonoma Reserve Pinot Noir Distinctive aromas of dried cherries, currant, and cranberries. In the mouth, supple red fruit flavors and a hint of vanilla and spice complement the fleshy mouthfeel and silky long finish. Delicate notes of orange rind and oak toast are also noticeable in the finish. California 2007 Concannon Conservancy Petite Sirah Displays ripe blackberries and dark cherry, with a nutmeg sprinkle. Rich in body and ample tannins providing great structure and an elongated finish. A very special wine. Spain 2008 Bodegas Borsao Campo de Borja This firm red delivers ripe black cherry and boysenberry fruit backed by notes of smoke, mineral and herb. The tannins are well-integrated, and floral and smoke notes linger. Spain 2004 Bodegas Y Viñedos Pilcar Cigales Val Uria Tinto Roble Most famous as the predominant grape in the blended wines of Rioja, Tempranillo has emerged as a potential star in regions as disparate as Australia and California. Tempranillo generally produces medium-bodied wines with juicy acidity and bright raspberry fruit enlivened by notes of dusty earth, dry herbs and leather. Italy 2006 Folonari Chianti Modern, fruit-forward Chianti offering immediate drinking pleasure. France 2007 Château Beauchene Côtes du Rhône Grande Réserve Intense garnet red in color. This wine develops a bouquet of red ripe fruits, violet and black currant, with a woody and spicy hint on the finish. Round and unctuous, this wine is full and supple. The tannins are present but well-blended, with a long-lasting flavor. Spain 2006 Bodegas Alto Almanzora Este Blend of 45% Monastrell, 25% Tempranillo, and the balance Syrah, Garnacha, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is sourced from the little known DO of Almeria located in eastern Andalucia in the southeast of Spain. The wine was aged for six months in French and American oak. Deep purple in color, it offers up a kinky, full-blown nose of smoke, spice box, and wild blueberry. Ripe, succulent, and layered, this bargain-priced, hedonistic effort totally over-delivers. California 2008 Meridian Pinot Noir Aromas of Bing cherry with hints of strawberry, roses and violets. It displays a subtle nuance of black tea and earth with a dash of vanilla oak spice. The flavor profile is elegant and medium-bodied with a velvety texture. Its complex flavors are juicy and mouth-filling, mirroring the aromas, including cherry and fig. Washington 2007 Columbia Crest Grand Estates Cabernet Sauvignon Soft, yet intense aromas of chocolate cherry, cassis and slight spice lead to a medium-bodied palate of fruit-forward flavors. This concentrated wine trails into a supple finish that offers silky tannins, notes of dark chocolate and a slightly spiced finish. Washington 2005 Columbia Crest Two Vines Shiraz This Shiraz features New World-style ripe and jammy fruit aromas. Flavors of black cherry and white pepper are pronounced on the palate with hints of boysenberry and raspberry. The lingering finish is pleasingly supple. Washington 2003 Covey Run Syrah Simple and spicy, the wine displays berries, white pepper and a smoky touch. California 2005 BV Century Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Ripe notes of blackberry, cherry, and dried spice. It has a dense, full-bodied texture that is rich, and intense beautifully framed by fine tannins giving it structure and elegance. The wine expands on the palate offering generous amounts of ripe fruit and enticing texture. California 2007 Estancia Shiraz Deep garnet hues. Fresh, dark berries and fig aromas are accented by hints of cocoa and toasty oak. The palate is filled with dark, spicy berry fruits, tar, fig and a hint of white pepper rounded out by fine oak tannins on the finish. France 2005 B & G Beaujolais Red cherry colors with purple hues. Aromatic nose packed with jammy red berry aromas. Licorice notes appear with aeration. Medium-bodied and fruit driven, this wine exhibits delicious aromas of cherry and raspberry. Argentina 2008 2 Copas Red This red blend of 20% Malbec and 80% Tempranillo shows the best of two red varietals that grow excellently in the region. Aromas of red fruits and spice mixed with good balance and acidity on the palate make this a great every day wine. Whites California 2006 BV Century Cellars Chardonnay Classic aromas of Green Apple, Pear, and citrus. It shows ripeness of fruit giving it a rich, creamy texture, while maintaining a vibrant crisp backbone. The pronounced fruit aromas of this wine balanced with its natural acidity make this a very appealing wine for a wide variety of tastes and food pairings. Argentina 2009 Graffigna Centenario Reserve Pinot Grigio Elegant white wine, fresh, flower and fruity aromas. Very delicate and harmonious. Jasmine notes embraced by white fruit aromas (peach and apricot). Bright clear gold. Young and subtle with a refined finish. Australia 2009 Yalumba Y Series Unwooded Chardonnay Pale straw with light green hues, the Yalumba Y Series Unwooded Chardonnay displays aromas of honeydew melon and nashi pear, with hints of grapefruit and pineapple. The palate is silky with flavours of ripe nectarines, guava and grapefruit with a fresh acid finish. Washington 2007 Covey Run Quail Series Fume Blanc The wine shows a pale golden straw color with aromas of green pineapple and freshly cut daffodils. On the palate, tropical fruit flavors infused with lemongrass and a hint of caramelized meringue are highlighted by a very clean, round finish. Washington 2008 Covey Run Quail Series Gewurztraminer The nose is floral and aromatic with flavors of lychee, rose and a hint of spice coming through clean on the palate. This is the perfect wine to quaff ice cold on the patio on a sunny summer afternoon. It is made with early consumption in mind, and best enjoyed while young. Washington 2008 Snoqualmie Winemaker's Select Riesling This Winemaker’s Select Riesling is crisp, refreshing, and bursting with aromas of spicy pear and dried apricots. The richly textured palate is characterized by spice and fruit as well as lingering notes of honey. California 2005 Francis Coppola Director's Cut Chardonnay Using Russian River fruit, we crush the grapes whole-cluster and ferment entirely in French oak barrels to produce a wine with a seductive, round texture and notes of sweet vanilla. Not only does this technique create a lavish character, it works to highlight the green apple, honeysuckle, and citrus flavors, which are the hallmark of Russian River vineyards. Argentina 2005 Famiglia Bianchi Sauvignon Blanc Pale yellow color with green reflections. Mixture of herbal aromas, freshly-cut grass, avocado and pear. Its subtle mineral aromas, together with lime and pink grapefruit peels and a delicate white peach nose, form a remarkable and fresh wine that has hints of smoky spiciness, due to its time in new French oak. With an impetuous and direct mouthfeel, it has great balance and a marked acidity, making it a wonderful aperitif or complement to a wide range of lighter dishes. Italy 2005 Ca’ Bolani Pinot Grigio A bouquet perfumed with fragrant acacia flowers, melon and subtle spice. Quite lush and smooth textured, with ripe apple, orange and honeydew flavors forming a broad base that is accented by just a hint of minerality and crisp, refreshing sweet lemon acidity. California 2005 Vinavera Dry Rose The Vinavera 2005 Dry Rose offers lovely red berry and cranberry aromas with good complexity. Fresh berry flavors are followed by light tannins and a long, fruity finish. California 2005 Vinavera Unoaked Pinot Grigio This Unoaked Pinot Grigio has bright aromas of lemon, pear, white peach and floral notes which repeat on the palate. Medium acidity and a crisp finish make this a wine that is enjoyable with a variety of foods. Oregon 2005 Argyle Nuthouse Chardonnay This Nuthouse Chardonnay made from Dijon clone fruit grown primarily at a low elevation vineyard on a Dundee Hill southern slope, ensures big fruit ripeness even in cooler vintages. The aroma is of melon fruit while the flavor is unctuous, viscous and of very sweet fruit. The finish is huge and long, of fruit and vanilla bean. California 2008 Buehler Russian River Chardonnay Our Russian River Chardonnay spotlights the floral/lime quality of the fruit aromas and accents them with toasty, graham cracker sur-lie qualities. The mouthfeel is creamy and full but the natural acidity of the Russian River fruit carries this velvet textured package to a long, clean finish. Spain Rene Barbier Mediterranean Blanco Lemony yellow in colour with elegant, greenish tones. Intense aromas of mainly apple and pineapple with a light citrus background. In the mouth it is fresh and tasty with a light acidity and balance. California 2005 Beringer Knights Alluvium Blanc A wine that mimics a top white Graves is Beringer's 2005 Alluvium Blanc, a barrel-fermented blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon that represents terrific value. This honeyed effort possesses crisp acidity as well as loads of melon, fig, and waxy lanolin characteristics. California 2006 Bonny Doon Vin Gris De Cigare This wine consists of: 27% syrah, 18% grenache blanc, 15% roussanne, 13% grenache, 12% cinsault, 12% mourvèdre, 3% viognier. Tasting this wine, we find brighter, filigreed fruit notes here--watermelon, cranberry and strawberry guava. There are also faint botanical, Provençal herb notes.
